Here is a list of the photo reproduction types that I offer.
Most of my images are reproduced in a ready to hang option. I currently do not offer standard picture framing as an option, preferring to let clients work with their local framing store for this aspect.
In addition to standard digital photographic prints I offer the following reproduction methods.
Stretched Canvas Giclee print.
One of the more commonly used methods for reproducing enlarged images. The image is printed with high quality archival inks onto specially treated canvas. It is coated with UV protectant and then stretched onto quality wood frames. Our stretcher bars are specially cut with a profile to prevent the canvas from touching anything but the thin outside edge of the frame (Most cheaper stretched canvas images available use square wood stock). Hanging wires are include and nounted so it is ready to hang. Float frame option is available. See bottom of page for details.
Available in sizes from 12x18 all the way up to 54' high and as long as the roll. The largest to date that I have installed was 25 feet long. Click HERE to see video of this installation.
This method involves a Dye Sublimation process that fuses a dye with a polymer coated sheet of Aluminum. Creating an extremely durable surface that is resistant to scratching, stains, moisture, and UV fade. Both Colour and B&W images look fantastic with this method, making pictures look vibrant and modern. Available typically on a white coated aluminum, it is also available by special order on clear coated. This gives the image a slightly metallic, shimmering effect. This tough printing method allows the image to confidently be displayed without the need for a frame or protective glazing. Comes with hangers pre-installed.
Facemount Acrylic Print
For beautiful, startlingly vibrant images that appear almost 3D. The image is printed on regular photographic paper and then sandwiched between two layers of high grade acrylic. The physical bond between the image and the back of the sheet of acrylic makes the colours appear more saturated and crisp compared to looking at a photograph mounted behind glass in the traditional way. These images come with a pre-attached hanging system that mounts so that the image floats 3/4 of an inch off the wall. Available up to 60" long.
This is a step up from standard facemount reproduction. With a very high end designer look this method is great for unique installations in businesses and other commercial applications. The image can be facemounted to virtually any thickness of Acrylic. 4'x10' sheets available in thickness typically between 1/2 and 1 inch. The standard mounting method is with steel standoff mounts. The image can also be printed as a translucent layer for use as a divider panel that is partially see through.
Moab Entrada Rag Paper.
Fine Art grade Entrada Rag paper is a double-sided, 300 gsm, award winning art paper made of 100% cotton and exhibits a bright surface to bring images to life. This naturally acid- and lignin-free matte paper offers an expanded color gamut, maximum contrast and high ink load, leading to superior images when compared to traditional digital photographic printing papers. Especially accurate for printing Black and White images, this paper is what leading photographers and galleries choose to print on.
Float Frame Option
As an option to really finish off a Canvas, Acrylic or Aluminum print you can add a Float Frame.
The image sits inside the frame and appears to float. Framing material can be painted any colour and comes in a variety of natural woods. This is perfect for really making an image pop.
Float frames can be order after the fact, but especially with canvas prints they are best ordered together to ensure a perfect fit.
