Yelloweye Rockfish

Yelloweye Rockfish, Sebastes ruberrimus

One of the largest rockfish species, and extremely long lived, reportedly up to 120 years. Yelloweye mature very slowly which affects their reproduction rate, making them a vulnerable species. Stocks have been wiped out in many areas due to the high remand for it as a food fish.
