Mangroves are a nursery ground for young fish and a buffer for storms.
Exploring the lands boundary with the ocean is always a pleasure. In certain parts of the world this boundary is often mangroves. These refugiums of life are amazing places to see juvenile species of fish that often live as adults out on the reef, or in open water. From sharks and barracuda, to angel and butterfly fish, hundreds of species can be found growing up from tiny fry into sub adults in the protecting arms of mangrove roots.
